Our Safety Program gets results.
The NC Department of Labor continues to recognize our safety performance.
We go the extra mile to train our staff.
All our staff has received OSHA 10-hour training, CPR, and First Aid training.
Once a week we conduct a “Toolbox Talk,” where our team gathers at the job site to systematically review safety topics. The “Toolbox Talk” includes a quiz, so we can see if there are any gaps in knowledge.
Each month our workforce reviews a crucial safety topic applicable to the job we’re on. We use OSHA videos in English and Spanish; they address the very most important topics in our industry.
Our Safety Training Logs allow us to track each employee’s training so nothing falls through the cracks. We frequently provide these logs to our clients.
Our Project Managers carefully analyze each new job for safety issues.
For each job, our Project Managers work with management to produce an in-depth Job Site Safety Analysis. Based on the analysis, our staff is trained on appropriate safety measures.
Our new hires get special attention.
New hires are paired with veteran staff members for 90 days. We call this our Mentor Program.
So everyone can know which folks may need extra help and reinforcement of safety training, we have our new hires wear safety orange for the first 90 days on the job.
Custom Safety Signage works.
On each job site we post holders for MSDS, Product Data Sheets and Job Site Safety Analysis.
We have created special messaging techniques to reinforce the most important safety messages. Our employees wear bracelets imprinted with key messages such as “Don’t tie off to handrails!” Similar messages are readily visible on stickers and signs in our vehicles and at our job sites.
Our Safety Handbook is approved by OSHA.
We can send a copy of our Safety Handbook electronically or by mail to new clients.
Tim Fontaine in Apex, NC saw us practicing good safety: “When I went to Q/A the job this morning I was impressed at how well the job was done, and the cleanliness of the work site. “… they had all the traffic control and safety equipment on and in place, again I commended them on a great job and their professionalism. Thank you again for providing such professional service to the Town of Apex.”
Our personnel management is designed for the best safety results.
The CMT culture puts safety first. From production staff to administrative staff, everyone has a role in safety -- whether in practice, or through administrative check-offs.
When it comes to safety, we ensure that corrective action can be swift and effective. When someone has a safety concern, all CMT staff immediately views that person as being in charge. This allows our team to stop action or take steps without delay.
