Wendy Banks
In 2003, Wendy Banks started Carolina Management Team with her brother, David Van Zee. She leads the administrative, sales and marketing teams for the company.
Wendy’s early career was selling, planning, and executing events, conventions and weddings with Hyatt Hotels, Walt Disney Attractions and Universal Orlando Resort. She earned an MBA from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University in Miami.

Married to high-school sweetheart, Doug Banks – They enjoy living near downtown, traveling and experiencing distant places.
David Van Zee
Primarily focused on solving corrosion and concrete degradation problems CMT serves local, state and federal units of government. Since inception the company has grown to over 40 employees with two locations: Asheville and High Point, NC
David is responsible for leading the company to international opportunities by assessing and executing coatings projects on water tanks for the U.S. Department of State. To date the team has successfully completed work in Africa, Middle East, Europe, and Central America and beyond. He holds the AMPP SSPC Concrete Coating Inspector Certification, AMPP Senior Certified Coating Inspector and is a licensed general contractor.
Previously a systems and process engineer for Konica USA and Bonset America, David holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC.
David earned first degree black belts in Shotokan and Go Ju Ryu. He and his wife Maria are busy parenting three kids in High Point. He’s an occasional golfer, hunter and SCUBA diver.
