Surface Preparation and Coating Application
- Sweep blast per SSPC SP-13 to prepare concrete for coating application
- Used Sherwin-Williams Steel Seam FT910 Fairing Compound to fill bug holes
- Filled large voids using Sherwin-Williams SherCrete Vertical Overhead Mortar Repair ( ¼ “ – 2” thick)
- Applied two coats Sherwin-Williams Macropoxy 646 PW Epoxy (NSF) (5-10 mils DFT)
Special items to note
In addition to the 12 clarifiers highlighted above, the City of Raleigh had CMT provide surface preparation and coating application services for all of the aeration piping at the Neuse River WWTP. As we neared completion of the contract, the client extended the contract by adding all of the electrical panel boxes and equipment to be prepped and painted and concrete repair for two of the clarifiers. Also, we completed 4 digester tanks and 2 day tanks. The value of the contracts topped $500,000. The City continues to be an ongoing customer.
